May! WOW.
Spring is in full bloom with the fruits of our winter planning and planting coming to blossom. Seeing my boys grow and develop and learn with a strong interest in whatever it is they choose to learn is a delight.
I had been a very systematic, structured, checklist type of girl and likely would have home schooled this same way. I'll admit I still have my checklist items but I'm learning to use them for support in creating healthy rhythms and routines for our family, our homeschooling experience and our lives both personally and professionally.
I'm grateful and I'll say very lucky that Waldorf education was introduced to me by a mom when Ryder was just barely 2. It changed me as a person as I was very logical and had lost touch with my more natural side. I'm sure folks who knew me before would say I was unsympathetic and was all about "getting it done".
When I see Ryder mimic that behavior I have to stop and do some adjusting as I know where he has gotten that.
This will serve as a mini wrap up of the 2015/2016 school year for Ryder -4th grade and Dax 1st grade.
