TRIBAL Road Trip 2019 - Los Angeles

We drove from Sabrina's to Tara Lee's in Marina Del Ray. A super fun treat for the boys to meet the Gerson clan. Enjoyed reconnecting with these wonderful people. Great stories and adventures. New found interests and common excitement around nerf wars.

Nerf is a universal kid thing

TRIBAL Road Trip 2019 San Diego

From Yuma, Potrero, CA and San Diego

We got to meet their new puppy Luna! Oh what a precious wonderful girl!

The boys took to Michael instantly and enjoyed some fun conversations with belly laughs by all. Michael is daring and a great story teller!

It's as if no time goes by - I have few friends like Sabrina. She and her family are shining beacons. I love her so much and was grateful to be able to visit and see her beautiful children. It'd been 12 years!

The wonderful Goodpops are a hit - we discovered in Austin by the family who created them - they use to sell them at the farmer's market - now they are in stores nation wide!

The joy of being with this beautiful, kind, generous person is so strong I can feel it rekindle just typing this.

Sabrina's daughter Angelina took these photos. She's a budding photographer and splendid! Happy to have these photos!

TRIBAL Road Trip 2019 Mesa, AZ

Our drive from Zion, the damn, through Flagstaff and on. Visited Grandma in Mesa.

The boys connected with the cats, Cheri the tortoise and helped grandma with a few things. We picked and ate a lot of fresh wonderful citrus.  We also visited Jerry Johnson - the boys' great great uncle in Apache Junction. (photos are on phone - need to transfer them here)

We stayed a couple of days before moving on to Yuma.

TRIBAL Road Trip 2019 Zion National Park -

These photos start at from Zion National Park and take us through Los Angeles.

Great battle ship games while snowed in. The boys were wonderful! I am so proud of my young men!

Road trip snack food I had packed - pears and cottage cheese. I was going to try to do close to 50 grams or less of carbs each day but that was near impossible. Sardines got old fast! Being snowed in and our choices were limited. The restaurant at the Lodge had excellent burgers and gluten free buns. That was workable.

Ryder working to get his switch app situated - a bit obsessive which was another note I made toward helping him find things that were not tied to playing splatoon.

Dax's greatest gift is his natural talent for art - any kind of creating. Looking forward to getting him his own drafting table!

Zion National Park was spectacular. With the snow - just stunning. We enjoyed it as much as possible and would go back for sure. Bryce and Grand Canyon's were shut down due to the weather. The boys still remember Grand Canyon and were happy to be done with the park portion of our trip. Just as well...so I drove straight through to Mesa, AZ. Awful on my back but we were ready for warmth and sunshine.
