Photos will never do this justice. An unplanned stop. I can't believe I didn't have this on our list.
We also stopped at the Minutemen Silo and the Prairie House National Historical Museum.
The education through the Junior Ranger program is extensive and wonderful. Adults should have an opportunity to play at this and earn their own badges. We have expanded our awareness, understanding and capacity for compassion beyond anything I imagined.
This first leg of our National Parks tour has been just what I hoped for - lots of lessons and shifts and realizations. Here are just a few:
We don't know what we think we "know". Our understanding is so very limited and it's only limited by our beliefs.
A question doesn't have to be answered - but it does have to be asked. In the asking is the real learning.
Keep asking, question things. Don't just take a photo or an idea that something or someone has put out there and believe it. Question it. The very questioning takes you from being a sheep to finally starting to reach even a fraction of what is potential within yourself. The moment you believe something and become a closed to any more discovery, you've lost your inalienable rights as a sovereign human Being.
